Police appeal for witnesses to fatal traffic accident in Sheung Shui

     Police are appealing for witnesses to a fatal traffic accident in Sheung Shui on October 11 in which a 54-year-old woman died.

     About 2.37pm on that day, a light goods vehicle driven by a 61-year-old man was travelling downhill along an unnamed access road of Wo Hop Shek Cemetery towards Ming Yin Road during which it reportedly lost control and fell along a slope.

     The 61-year-old driver and two female passengers aged 54 and 55 sustained multiple injuries. The driver and the 54-year-old woman were rushed to Prince of Wales Hospital where the woman was subsequently certified dead at 6.07am the following day (October 12). The other female passenger was conveyed to North District Hospital.

     Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North are continuing.
