The Secretary for Justice, Mr Wong Yan Lung, SC, began a two-day visit to Qingdao today (October 17). After arriving in Qingdao in the afternoon, Mr Wong will meet with senior officials of the Qingdao Justice Bureau and the Intermediate People's Court. The exchanges at these meetings will help enhance mutual understanding and strengthen ties.
Tomorrow, he will attend the Ninth China Lawyers' Forum where he will deliver a speech summarising Hong Kong's role in and contribution to the National 12th Five-Year Plan. He will also brief forum participants on the strengths of Hong Kong's legal and arbitration services.
Mr Wong will return to Hong Kong tomorrow afternoon.
