The yearbook's 21 chapters cover a wide range of subjects including the economy, commerce and industry, employment, the environment, social welfare, education, infrastructural development, culture and recreation, sports and the arts.

The book has 12 colour sections with more than 110 photographs, including those on Hong Kong's participation in World Expo 2010 Shanghai China, constitutional development, the Manila hijacking victims, the revitalised Brand Hong Kong, caring community, green living and creative industries.

The photo sections in the App also include additional video content that can be browsed via an Internet connection.

The App is available in Traditional Chinese and English.

Apart from being accessible through the App Store, the App can also be downloaded from the ISD website, www.isd.gov.hk, or the government yearbook website, www.yearbook.gov.hk, connecting to the App Store.
