Shek O Beach and Big Wave Bay Beach reopened
********************************************

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (October 10) that the shark prevention nets at Shek O Beach and Big Wave Bay Beach in Southern District, Hong Kong Island have been repaired and the beaches have been reopened. The beaches were temporarily closed earlier for maintenance work on shark prevention nets.

However, due to big waves, red flags have been hoisted at the two beaches. Beach-goers are advised not to swim at the beaches.
