| The opening ceremony of "Genesis and Spirit: A Showcase of Intangible Cultural Heritage of China" was held today (October 8) at the Hong Kong Central Library. Officiating at the ceremony are (from right) the Director of Leisure and Cultural Services, Mrs Betty Fung; the Director-General of the Department of Intangible Cultural Heritage at the Ministry of Culture of the People's Republic of China (Ministry of Culture), Mr Ma Wenhui; the Secretary for Home Affairs, Mr Tsang Tak-sing; the Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Mr Li Gang; the Minister of Culture, Dr Cai Wu; the Deputy Commissioner of the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Mr Gao Yuchen; the Director of the Office of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs of the Ministry of Culture, Ms Hou Xianghua; and the Vice President of the Chinese National Academy of Arts, Mr Zhang Qingshan. |
