Police today (October 7) charged a 64-year-old man with one count of murder in connection with the death of a 74-year-old man in Tuen Mun on October 5.
At about 5pm on October 5, Police received a report that there was a fighting in a corridor of Hing Tai House in Tai Hing Estate, Tuen Mun. Police sped to the scene and found the 74-year-old man lying unconsciously in the corridor. He was sent to Tuen Mun Hospital where he was later certified dead. After investigation, Police arrested the 64-year-old man at scene.
A post-mortem conducted on the deceased today revealed that he died of multiple chop wounds on his body.
The arrested man will appear at Tsuen Wan Magistrates' Courts tomorrow (October 8).
Active investigations by the District Crime Squad of Tuen Mun are underway.
