Police are investigating a traffic accident in the Peak this afternoon (September 28) in which a 45-year-old foreign woman died.
At about 2.15 pm, a light goods vehicle (LGV) driven by a 25-year-old man was travelling along Peak Road towards Central. When reaching near Barker Road, it reportedly hit the 45-year-old foreign woman who was crossing the road.
The woman sustained serious head injuries and was rushed to Queen Mary Hospital where she was certified dead at 2.44 pm.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Hong Kong Island are underway.
