A total of 49 nomination forms for the 2011 District Council election were received by Returning Officers of the 18 districts today (September 27).
This brings to 887 the total number of nomination forms received since the commencement of the nomination period on September 15. The nomination period will end tomorrow (September 28).
The Returning Officers of the Islands District and the Sha Tin District today received notices of withdrawal of candidature from a nominee for the poll in Cheung Chau North and a nominee for the poll in Ma On Shan Town Centre respectively.
