Police are investigating a traffic accident in Pat Heung today (September 19) in which an 84-year-old man died.
About 10.17am, a heavy goods vehicle (HGV) driven by a 42-year-old man was travelling along Kam Sheung Road towards Tai Po. When approaching Ngau Keng Tsuen, it reportedly hit the 84-year-old man who was crossing the road.
The man sustained multiple injuries and was rushed to Pok Oi Hospital where he was certified dead at 10.53am.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North are under way.
