Massimo Bonini, a renowned Italian showroom for Italian brand name shoes and accessories, today (September 12) announced the recent unveiling in Hong Kong of its first worldwide concept store. Situated in the Lee Gardens, Causeway Bay, the Hong Kong concept store is fulfilling Massimo Bonini's strategic plan to launch into Asian markets, and is the result of a joint venture between Massimo Bonini Showroom and MPPS Holdings Ltd. The latter is a Hong Kong-based company that shares the same vision as Massimo Bonini to bring luxury label clothing, shoes and accessories from Europe into Asia.

Commenting on the selection of Hong Kong as the regional business centre, founder of Massimo Bonini Showroom, Mr Massimo Bonini, said, "With a well-deserved reputation as Asia's retail paradise, Hong Kong is an ideal city to pave the way for Massimo Bonini to enter the Mainland Chinese and regional markets. New brands and products are not only well received by Hong Kong people but also by visitors to the city from all over the world. The city itself is a confident barometer of reliable trading and quality goods that catch global attention."

Partner of Massimo Bonini (APAC) Ltd, Ms Polly Hue, added, "Recognising the huge demand for luxury goods in Hong Kong and Mainland China, the new concept store in Hong Kong introduces 22 prestigious brands including John Galliano, McQ by Alexander McQueen, Etro and Antonio Marras, and most of them are exclusive to Massimo Bonini. We are confident that our comprehensive range from updated classic to fashion forward will be a delight to customers who possess a strong fashion sense."

The Associate Director-General of Investment Promotion, Mr Andrew Davis, warmly welcomed the establishment of Massimo Bonini in Hong Kong. He said, "Hong Kong's position as the collection and distribution centre of the world's most famous brands gives it its deserved title as Asia's shopping paradise. The arrival of Massimo Bonini into this market clearly demonstrates our city's considerable pulling power in the global retail market, and we are delighted to see the company choose Hong Kong as the location for its first concept store in the region."

Starting a business in Hong Kong, for companies large and small, has been further facilitated with the launch of the Government's electronic incorporation service in March 2011. The time required for company incorporation and business registration has now been significantly reduced from four working days to less than one.
