Fatal traffic accident in Tin Sum

     Police are investigating a traffic accident in Tin Sum this morning (September 5) in which a 55-year-old man was killed.

     At about 9.40am, a public light bus driven by a 50-year-old man was travelling along Tai Chung Kiu Road towards Tai Wai. While approaching Sha Kok Street, it reportedly knocked down a 55-year-old man who was riding a bicycle crossing the road.

     Sustaining serious injuries, the man was rushed to Prince of Wales Hospital where he was certified dead at 5.30pm.

     The driver was arrested for causing grievous bodily harm by dangerous driving. He has been released on bail for further enquiries.

     Investigations will be conducted by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories South.
