Customs' Road Cargo System (ROCARS) Service Centre, located on the second floor of Tsuen Wan Government Offices, 38 Sai Lau Kok Road, Tsuen Wan, starts operation today (August 29).
The ROCARS service centre provides one-stop services including training, registration and answering enquiries for visitors. Registered ROCARS users can also make ROCARS submissions by using the self-help kiosks at the centre.
"With the full implementation of ROCARS on November 17, we expect that there will be an increasing demand from the industry for training and more enquiries related to ROCARS. The service centre will provide better and more convenient one-stop services to the users," a Customs spokesman said.
"Shippers, transportation agents and cross-boundary truckers are encouraged to make use of the service centre to register and to get acquainted with ROCARS," he added.
The operating hours of the service centre are from 9am to 12.30pm and from 2pm to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. It will be closed on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
