Police today (August 23) appealed for information on a fatal traffic accident in Kwun Tong on August 9 in which a 58-year-old man was killed.
At about 8.50pm on August 9, a light goods vehicle (LGV) driven by a 24-year-old man was travelling along Ping Tin Street towards On Tin Street. When the LGV right turned On Tin Street at the junction point, it reportedly knocked down a 58-year-old man who was crossing the road.
Sustaining head injury, the man was sent to United Christian Hospital and then transferred to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he was certified dead at 2.12am on August 11.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East, are proceeding.
