Man holding charged with access to computer with dishonest or criminal intent

Police today (August 20) holding charged a 29-year-old man with one count of access to computer with dishonest or criminal intent.
Police received a report on August 10 that the news website of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited was subject to cyber attack.
Officers of Technology Crime Division of Commercial Crime Bureau conducted in-depth investigations and arrested the 29-year-old man in Kwun Tong on August 18. Seventeen sets of computer, two mobile phones and five digital storage devices were seized.
He will appear in Tuen Mun Magistrates' Courts on August 24.
