Red flags lowered at five beaches in Southern District, Hong Kong Island

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (August 20) that since the water off Deep Water Bay Beach, Repulse Bay Beach, Middle Bay Beach, South Bay Beach, Chung Hom Kok Beach in Southern District, Hong Kong Island, are now suitable for swimming, the red flags have been lowered.
The red flags were hoisted at the beach earlier on after red tides were found.
