The Government published a notice in the Gazette today (August 12) on proposed road improvement works at Ping Kong Road, Sheung Shui. The works have been authorised by the Chief Executive in Council.
The works include:
(i) widening of a section of the existing carriageway and sections of the existing footpaths at Ping Kong Road;
(ii) construction of two run-ins/outs;
(iii) construction of two pedestrian crossing facilities and two lay-bys;
(iv) permanent closure and conversion of sections of the existing carriageway into footpath or run-in/out or road verge;
(v) permanent closure and conversion of sections of the existing footpath into carriageway;
(vi) temporary closure and reconstruction of sections of the existing carriageway or footpaths or run-in/out; and
(vii) ancillary works including civil, drainage, sewerage, water and landscaping works.
