Fatal traffic accident in Tsim Sha Tsui

     Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Tsim Sha Tsui yesterday night (August 3) in which an 81-year-old man died.

     About 8.25pm yesterday, a taxi driven by an 81-year-old man reportedly rammed into a stone pillar when it left a hotel at No. 72 Mody Road in Tsim Sha Tsui.

     Sustaining head injuries, the driver was conveyed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in an unconscious state, where he was later certified dead at 8.48pm.

     Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West are under way.
