Proposed realignment of Yau Chuen Street in Au Tau and associated road works gazetted

     The Government published a Gazette notice today (July 29) on the realignment of Yau Chuen Street in Au Tau and the associated road works.

     The proposed works aim to tie in with the Hong Kong Housing Authority's plan to develop the former Au Tau departmental quarters for public housing. The works include realignment of a portion of Yau Chuen Street, and construction of a green mini-bus lay-by and pedestrian crossings at Yau Shin Street for the residents.

     The proposed works will commence in about mid-2012 for completion in 2013.

     The plans and scheme are available for public inspection at the following places during office hours:

     Any person who wishes to object to the proposed works or their use, or both, should write to the Secretary for Transport and Housing, 16/F, Murray Building, Garden Road, Hong Kong, on or before September 27.
