Police are investigating a traffic accident in Sheung Shui this morning (July 26) in which a 48-year-old man died.
At about 11.40am, a medium goods vehicle (MGV) driven by a 48-year-old man was travelling along Sha Tau Kok Road – Lung Yeuk Tau Section towards Fanling. When reaching near Ko Po, the MGV reportedly dashed onto the pavement and hit the iron poles.
The man was found collapsed inside the MGV and was rushed to North District Hospital where he was certified dead at 12.35pm.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North are underway.
