The Director of the International Cooperation of French National Police, Mr Emile Perez, led a four-member delegation to pay a courtesy call on the Commissioner of Police, Mr Tsang Wai-hung, at the Police Headquarters in Wan Chai today (July 22).
During the meeting, Mr Tsang signed a Letter of Intent with Mr Perez, which sets out a framework for bolstering partnership in capacity building and professional development between the two police forces.
Particular focuses have been put on the technical co-operation in respect of illegal immigration, human trafficking, cyber crimes, forgery and counterfeit, and trafficking of narcotics and psychotropic substances.
Following the signatory ceremony, the Commissioner and the Force senior management held an in-depth discussion with the delegation on various policing issues of mutual concern.
