Kearen Pang to re-run "Laugh Me to the Moon"
********************************************

Kearen Pang, one of the most gifted and sought-after theatre actresses in Hong Kong, will re-run her touching one-actor play "Laugh Me to the Moon" in September.

Based on Pang's short tales of growing up, "Laugh Me to the Moon" tells of a disillusioned primary school teacher who tries to reconnect with her childhood dreams by entering a stand-up comedy contest.

In life, one must learn to accept losses, to deal with dreams and ideals unattained, but the beauty of life is always with us, like the moon above our heads every night, whether it is full or new, seen or veiled.

"Laugh Me to the Moon" is Pang's third one-actor play. Her play displays an exquisite story with rich stage visual effects and was highly appreciated by local theatre critics at its premiere.

One of the programmes in the Re-run Run Shows series presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, "Laugh Me to the Moon" will be performed in Cantonese at 8pm on September 2 (Friday) and 3pm on September 3 (Saturday) at the Auditorium, Kwai Tsing Theatre, and at 8pm on September 10 (Saturday) at the Auditorium, Yuen Long Theatre. Tickets ranging in price from $120 to $240 are now available at URBTIX outlets, on the Internet and by credit card telephone booking.
