The Judiciary today (July 21) announced the appointment of the Honourable Mr Justice Wally Yeung Chun-kuen, Justice of Appeal of the Court of Appeal of the High Court, as Vice-President of the Court of Appeal of the High Court with effect from July 25, 2011.
The biographical note of the Honourable Mr Justice Yeung is as follows:
The Honourable Mr Justice Yeung was born in Hong Kong in 1950. He obtained LL.B. and P.C.LL. from the University of Hong Kong in 1974 and 1975 respectively. He was called to the Hong Kong Bar in 1976. He was in private practice between 1976 and 1985. He was appointed as Magistrate in 1985, District Judge in 1987, Judge of the High Court in 1995 and Justice of Appeal of the Court of Appeal of the High Court in 2002.
