The following is issued on behalf of the Committee on the Promotion of Civic Education (CPCE):
Members of the public are invited to visit the "Cherish Yourself and Your Family, Love Hong Kong and Your Country" exhibition on civic education to be held at the Hong Kong Book Fair 2011 (Booth 3B-C36, Children's Paradise pavilion). The fair will be open from tomorrow (July 20) until July 26 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Jointly organised by the CPCE and the Home Affairs Bureau, the exhibition will feature information on civic education as well as a wide range of teaching materials and publications produced by the CPCE, the Education Bureau, the Independent Commission Against Corruption and the Equal Opportunities Commission. Visitors can take part in interactive family games and obtain souvenirs at the venue.
A ceremony to launch the exhibition and a Video Production cum Slogan Design Competition will be held at 1pm on July 21 on the stage at the Children's Paradise pavilion. CPCE members, Dr Carol Ma and Dr Miro Ng, artiste Mr Roger Kwok and Civic Ambassadors will attend and share their tips on family bonding.
