Fatal traffic accident in Kowloon City

     Police are investigating a traffic accident in Kowloon City this afternoon (July 9) in which a 75-year-old woman was killed.

     At 3.55pm, a medium goods vehicle driven by a 49-year-old man was traveling along southbound Fuk Lo Tsun Road. When approaching the junction with Prince Edward Road West, it reportedly hit the 75-year-old woman who was crossing the road.    

     The woman sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital where she was certified dead at 4.25pm.

     The driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death and is still being detained for further enquiries.

     Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West are under way.
