A fire broke out at the external walls of a 31-storey building at the construction site of Le Prestige, Lohas Park, Wan Po Road, Tseung Kwan O, today (July 5). The fire damaged the scaffolding and nylon nets at the external walls of the top three floors and the affected area measures about 15 metres x 20 metres.
The fire broke out at 6.27pm. It was upgraded to a No. 3 alarm at 6.39pm and was largely put out at 7.24pm.
Firemen used three jets and two breathing apparatus teams to fight the blaze.
A fireman who felt unwell after inhalation of smoke was sent to hospital for treatment and is now in stable condition.
Investigation is continuing.
