A group of fresh graduates from the Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI) have mastered a spectacular new creative technique known as projection mapping, which can turn almost any surface into a dynamic video display. They have used this medium to reflect the history of Hong Kong's changing cityscape over the past century.
The institute invited German multimedia designer Tobias Gremmler to introduce the technique to students. He says it is crucial to nurture young talent to develop a local thriving creative industry.
The students' projection mapping masterpiece was incorporated into the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education's graduation gala, "Illusions of Imagination".
