Police appeal for witnesses to fatal traffic accident in Yuen Long

     Police are appealing for witnesses to a fatal traffic accident in Yuen Long on April 14 in which an 85-year-old man was killed.

     About 9.18am on that day, a coach driven by a 36-year-old woman was travelling along Castle Peak Road Yuen Long Section towards Sheung Shui. When reaching a pedestrian crossing near Kuk Ting Street, it reportedly hit the 85-year-old man who was crossing the road.
 
     Sustaining severe head injury, the man was rushed to Tuen Mun Hospital for medical treatment. He was subsequently certified dead at 10.20am on June 13.

     Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North are continuing.

     Anyone who witnessed the accident or has information to offer is urged to contact the investigating officers on 3661 3858 or 3661 3800.
