Police today (June 30) holding charged a 36-year-old man with one count of murder in connection with a case in which a 38-year-old man died in Yau Ma Tei yesterday (June 29).
The deceased was reportedly conveyed to Kwong Wah Hospital by a private car for medical treatment at about 7.50am yesterday. Police later located a suspicious private car at Woosung Street in Yau Ma Tei and arrested the 36-year-old man who was inside the vehicle.
Post-mortem examinations conducted today revealed that the deceased sustained multiple injuries. Further toxicological examinations will be arranged later.
The arrested man will appear at Kowloon City Magistrates' Courts on July 2.
Investigations by the District Crime Squad of Yau Tsim District are underway.
