Yuen Long District Council by-election turnout (as at 11.30am) (with photos)

     As at 11.30am today (June 26), 661 of the 10 846 registered electors of the Shap Pat Heung North Constituency had cast their votes in the Yuen Long District Council by-election held today, representing a turnout of 6.09%. (The voter turnout figures are only for temporary reference.)

     The polling stations at the Buddhist Wing Yan School, Yuen Long Government Primary School and Chung Sing School will open from 7.30am to 10.30pm.

     The dedicated polling station at the Yuen Long Police Station opens from 7.30am to 10.30pm. It is set up for electors in the Shap Pat Heung North Constituency remanded or detained by law enforcement agencies other than the Correctional Services Department (CSD) to cast their ballots.

     Eight dedicated polling stations are also set up in penal institutions for electors in the constituency imprisoned or remanded in the CSD”¦s custody to cast their votes in their respective penal institutions. For security reason, the polling hours are from 9am to 4pm.
