The Transport Department (TD) today (June 16) reminded the public that temporary traffic and transport arrangements would be implemented from 11pm on Saturday (June 18) to 6am on Sunday (June 19) in Tuen Mun to facilitate demolition works at Chi Lok Bridge on Tuen Mun Road (town centre section).
The temporary traffic and transport arrangements will mainly include:
* The unnamed slip road leading from Tuen Mun Road southbound to Wong Chu Road westbound will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic from 11pm on June 18 to 6am on June 19.
* The section of Tuen Mun Road southbound between Wong Chu Road and Tuen Fat Road will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic from 12.30am to 5.30am on June 19.
* During the period of road closure, motorists on Tuen Mun Road heading for Tsuen Wan/Tuen Mun (West) are advised to travel via Pui To Road, Tuen Mun Heung Sze Wui Road, Hoi Chu Road, Hoi Wong Road and Wong Chu Road.
* Green Mini-Bus (GMB) routes 47S, 48S, 606S and 610S will be diverted.
Notices will be put up at respective GMB stops and inside vehicle compartments to inform passengers of the temporary diversions.
The TD and the Police will closely monitor the traffic situation in the vicinity and implement appropriate measures as necessary. Motorists and the public are advised to be alert to the latest traffic news on radio and television.
