HKMAO Director briefed on monetary affairs (with photos/videos)

     The Director of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council, Mr Wang Guangya, continued his visit to Hong Kong today (June 13).  Accompanied by the Financial Secretary, Mr John C Tsang, Mr Wang visited Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) and the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) in the morning.

     The Chief Executive of HKEx, Mr Charles Li, briefed Mr Wang on the operation of HKEx.  They toured securities brokers' trading booths in the trading hall.  A HKEx vest was presented to Mr Wang as a souvenir.

     This was followed by a visit to the HKMA, where Mr Wang was given a briefing by the Chief Executive of HKMA, Mr Norman Chan, at the HKMA Information Centre.

     Accompanied by the Chief Executive, Mr Donald Tsang, Mr Wang later joined a luncheon with members of various sectors of the community.
