After earlier official visits to Singaporean and Malaysian police departments, the Commissioner of Police, Mr Tsang Wai-hung, paid a courtesy call on the Commissioner General of the Royal Thai Police (RTP), Mr Wichean Potephosree, yesterday (June 10).
The two Commissioners agreed to further enhance co-operation to tackle transnational crime. The police of Hong Kong and Thailand will work on a Memorandum of Understanding agreement to strengthen training co-operation and to combat transnational crime, including drug trafficking, money laundering and technology crime.
During his stay in Thailand, Mr Tsang also visited the Tourist Police deployed to the tourist spots in Thailand and the International Law Enforcement Academy - Bangkok.
Mr Tsang will return to Hong Kong today (June 11).
