Fatal traffic accident in Kowloon City

     Police are investigating a traffic accident in Kowloon City this morning (June 10) in which a woman died and a boy was injured.

     About 10.30am, a coach driven by a 54-year-old man was travelling along northbound Waterloo Road. When approaching Lincoln Road, the coach reportedly hit the 31-year-old woman and the 6-year-old boy.  

     The woman was seriously injured and rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in unconscious state. She was later certified dead at 11.07am. The boy was also injured and was sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in conscious state for medical treatment.

     The driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death and is still being detained for further enquiries.

     Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West are under way.
