The Chief Secretary for Administration, Mr Henry Tang, issued the following statement with regard to a press report by Apple Daily today (June 8):
"From time to time I gauge the views of various parties on how to make use of information technology to enhance communication with the public, as well as matters involving public perception and personal image.
"I have to stress that in the use of government resources I have fully complied with relevant government regulations.
"As for speculation on whether I was involved in the selection process of the Internet Learning Support Programme, I must set the record straight: As the Chief Secretary for Administration, I have not been involved in the work related to the Programme."
