The following is issued on behalf of the Electoral Affairs Commission:
The Electoral Affairs Commission will hold a public forum on June 9 (Thursday) on the Proposed Guidelines on Election-related Activities in respect of the District Council Election.
"Members of the public are invited to express their views at the public forum," a Commission spokesman said today (June 7).
The forum will be held at the Community Hall, 3/F, Causeway Bay Community Centre, 7 Fook Yum Road, Causeway Bay. It will commence at 3pm and end at 5.30pm.
The proposed guidelines were released on May 24 for public consultation until June 22.
Written representations can be sent to the Commission's Secretariat by post at 10/F, Harbour Centre, 25 Harbour Road, Wan Chai; by fax (2511 1682); or by email (eacenq@reo.gov.hk) by June 22. Late submissions will not be considered.
The proposed guidelines can be downloaded from the Commission's website at www.eac.gov.hk. They are also available at the Registration and Electoral Office and the Public Enquiry Service Centres of District Offices.
