****************************************

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) invites members of the public to visit the arts fun fair at Kowloon Park and appreciate artistic works in a relaxing environment.

A new round of the fair at Kowloon Park will run from June 5 (Sunday) while the fairs at Hong Kong Park and Victoria Park are currently in operation for free visit by the public.

The arts fun fairs, which have been held in the three parks for years, have been well received by the public. They have proven to be an attraction to people from all walks of life, with stalls exhibiting and selling handicrafts and artworks including paper craftwork, carvings and accessories. Arts or culture-related services ranging from calligraphy and painting to silhouette sketching are also provided. Visitors to the fairs can take a break from the hustle and bustle of city life.

The 30 stalls of the arts fun fair at the Loggia in Kowloon Park will operate from June 5 this year to May 27 next year, from 1pm to 7pm on Sundays and public holidays.

Meanwhile, 10 and 36 stalls are being operated at Hong Kong Park and Victoria Park respectively. Stalls in the outdoor area near the Flagstaff House Museum of Teaware in Hong Kong Park are open from noon to 6pm on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays until December 31 this year. Those at the South Pavilion Plaza of Victoria Park will run from 10am to 6pm on Sundays and public holidays until November 27 this year.

People interested in operating the stalls in the next round of the arts fun fairs at the above three parks can submit their applications about two months prior to the completion of the contract of the current round. Details will be available on the LCSD website in due course. The public may also call the management offices of Kowloon Park (tel: 2724 3344), Hong Kong Park (tel: 2521 5041) and Victoria Park (tel: 2890 5824) during office hours for details.
