Police will implement special traffic arrangements on Sunday (May 29) to facilitate a public meeting at Victoria Park in Causeway Bay followed by a procession to Central Government Offices in Central.
(A) Road closure
The following roads will be closed from 1pm and as necessary:
(1) Southbound Gloucester Road U-turn slip road to northbound Gloucester Road near junction with Sugar Street;
(2) Sugar Street;
(3) Great George Street;
(4) A section of Paterson Street between Kingston Street and Great George Street;
(5) A section of westbound Kingston Street between Gloucester Road and Paterson Street;
(6) A section of southbound Gloucester Road between Victoria Park flyover and Causeway Road;
(7) Cleveland Street;
(8) A section of eastbound Kingston Street between Paterson Street and Gloucester Road; and
(9) A section of Paterson Street between Gloucester Road and Kingston Street.
The following roads will be closed from 3pm and as necessary:
(1) Westbound Yee Wo Street;
(2) Jardineˇ¦s Bazaar;
(3) A section of Yun Ping Road between Lan Fong Road and Kai Chiu Road;
(4) Tang Lung Street;
(5) A section of Canal Road East between Russell Street and Hennessy Road;
(6) The slip road leading from eastbound Johnston Road to westbound Hennessy Road;
(7) Pennington Street;
(8) Westbound Hennessy Road;
(9) A section of Canal Road West between Sharp Street West and Hennessy Road;
(10) A section of Wan Chai Road between Canal Road West and Morrison Hill Road;
(11) A section of Bowrington Road between Sharp Street West and Hennessy Road.
(12) A section of Percival Street between Lockhart Road and Hennessy Road;
(13) A section of Thomson Road between Johnston Road and Luard Road;
(14) A section of Luard Road between Johnston Road and Hennessy Road;
(15) A section of Fenwick Street between Hennessy Road and Johnston Road
(16) Southbound Gloucester Road between Victoria Park Flyover and Causeway Road;
(17) Westbound Johnston Road between Ship Street and Hennessy Road except tram service; and
(18) Eastbound Johnston Road between Landale Street and Hennessy Road except tram service.
The following roads will be closed from 3.45pm and as necessary:
(1) Westbound Queensway;
(2) A slip road leading from northbound Justice Drive to westbound Queensway;
(3) A slip road leading from southbound Cotton Tree Drive flyover to westbound Queensway;
(4) Northbound Garden Road slip road leading to eastbound Queensway;
(5) A section of Queen's Road Central between Queensway and Pedder Street;
(6) Bank Street;
(7) A section of Ice House Street between Lower Albert Road and Des Voeux Road Central;
(8) Duddell Street;
(9) A section of westbound Des Voeux Road Central between Queensway and Pedder Street;
(10) A section of Lower Albert Road between Garden Road and Ice House Street; and
(11) The slip road of Upper Albert Road between Upper Albert Road and Lower Albert Road.
The following roads will be closed at any time when necessary:
(1) A section of northbound Tai Hang Road flyover between a slip road to Tung Lo Wan Road and westbound Victoria Park Road; and
(2) A section of southbound Percival Street between Gloucester Road Service Road and Lockhart Road.
(B) Traffic Diversion
Traffic along the following roads will be diverted from 1pm onwards and as necessary:
(1) Traffic along southbound Gloucester Road will be prohibited from turning right to the U-turn loop leading to northbound Gloucester Road;
(2) Traffic along eastbound Yee Wo Street will be prohibited from turning left to Sugar Street;
(3) Traffic along northbound Tai Hang Road flyover will be prohibited from turning left to westbound Kingston Street;
(4) Traffic along southbound Paterson Street must turn left to eastbound Kingston Street; and
(5) Traffic along southbound Cleveland Street will be prohibited from turning right to westbound Kingston Street.
Traffic along the following roads will be diverted from 3pm onwards and as necessary:
(1) Traffic along northbound Tung Lo Wan Road is prohibited from entering Irving Street and must turn left to westbound Leighton Road;
(2) Traffic along northbound Pennington Street must turn right to Keswick Street;
(3) Traffic along northbound Pennington Street is prohibited from turning left to Jardineˇ¦s Bazaar;
(4) Traffic along eastbound Yee Wo Street is prohibited from turning right to southbound Tung Lo Wan Road or westbound Leighton Road;
(5) Traffic along westbound Gloucester Road Service Road will be prohibited from turning left to southbound Cleveland Street;
(6) Traffic along westbound Gloucester Road Service Road will be prohibited from turning left to southbound Paterson Street;
(7) Traffic along slip road leading from westbound Victoria Park Road to Gloucester Road Service Road must turn right before the junction with Cleveland Street;
(8) Traffic along southbound Victoria Park Flyover must turn right to Gloucester Road Service Road;
(9) Traffic along northbound Yun Ping Road must turn left to westbound Lan Fong Road;
(10) Traffic from Kai Chiu Road Hennessy Centre Carpark must turn left to southbound Lee Garden Hill Road and turn right into Fu Ming Street;
(11) Traffic along westbound Leighton Road must turn left to Wong Nai Chung Road except franchised buses;
(12) Traffic along southbound Percival Street must turn left /right to Lockhart Road;
(13) Traffic along eastbound Lockhart Road will be prohibited from turning right to southbound Percival Street;
(14) Traffic along westbound Hennessy Road will be prohibited from turning left to southbound Canal Road East;
(15) Traffic along westbound Russell Street must turn left at the junction with Canal Road East;
(16) Traffic along northbound Canal Road West near the junction with Sharp Street West will be diverted to the up-ramp leading to northbound Canal Road Flyover;
(17) Traffic along eastbound Sharp Street West will be diverted to the up-ramp leading to northbound Canal Road Flyover;
(18) Traffic along eastbound Sharp Street West will be prohibited from turning left to northbound Bowrington Road;
(19) Traffic along northbound Bowrington Road must turn right to eastbound Sharp Street West;
(20) Traffic along eastbound Wan Chai Road must turn right to southbound Morrison Hill Road;
(21) Traffic along northbound Tin Lok Lane will be prohibited from turning left to westbound Hennessy Road;
(22) Traffic along southbound Stewart Road will be prohibited from turning right to westbound Hennessy Road;
(23) Traffic along southbound Fleming Road is prohibited from turning right to westbound Hennessy Road;
(24) Traffic along northbound Fleming Road is prohibited from turning left to westbound Hennessy Road;
(25) Traffic along southbound Fenwick Street must turn left to eastbound Hennessy Road;
(26) Traffic along eastbound Hennessy Road is prohibited from turning right to southbound Fenwick Street;
(27) Traffic along northbound Tai Wong Street East must turn right to eastbound Johnston Road;
(28) Traffic along westbound Johnston Road will be prohibited from turning right to Thomson Road;
(29) Traffic along eastbound Johnston Road will be prohibited from turning left to Thomson Road;
(30) Traffic along eastbound Johnston Road will be prohibited from turning left to westbound Luard Road;
(31) Traffic along westbound Johnston Road will be prohibited from turning right to northbound Luard Road;
(32) Traffic along westbound Johnston Road must turn left to southbound Ship Street; and
(33) Traffic along northbound Landale Street must turn right to eastbound Johnston Road.
Traffic along the following roads will be diverted from 3.45pm onwards and as necessary:
(1) Traffic along northbound Justice Drive must go straight to Justice Drive flyover;
(2) Traffic along westbound Queen's Road East must turn left to Justice Drive;
(3) Traffic along eastbound Queensway will be prohibited from turning right to eastbound Queen's Road East;
(4) Traffic along eastbound Queensway will be prohibited from turning right to southbound Cotton Tree Drive;
(5) Traffic along southbound Cotton Tree Drive flyover will be prohibited from turning right to the down ramp near Bank of China Tower leading to westbound Queensway;
(6) Traffic along northbound Garden Road will be diverted to Garden Road flyover;
(7) Traffic along northbound Garden Road will be prohibited from turning left to westbound Lower Albert Road, except heading for Hong Kong Central Hospital and the crowd situation so allowed;
(8) Traffic along northbound Glenealy will be prohibited from turning right to eastbound Lower Albert Road, except heading for Hong Kong Central Hospital and the crowd situation so allowed;
(9) Traffic along eastbound Wyndham Street must turn left before the junction with Glenealy and Lower Albert Road, except heading for Hong Kong Central Hospital and the crowd situation so allowed;
(10) Traffic along eastbound Upper Albert Road will be prohibited from turning left to the slip road beside the East Gate and must go straight to northbound Garden Road; and
(11) Traffic along the slip road of westbound Upper Albert Road must turn left to westbound Lower Albert Road.
Traffic along the following roads will be diverted at any time when necessary:
(1) Traffic along northbound Tai Hang Road flyover must go straight to northbound Victoria Park Road flyover leading to westbound Gloucester Road;
(2) Traffic along westbound Gloucester Road Service Road will be prohibited from turning left to southbound Percival Street;
(3) Traffic along eastbound Causeway Road will be prohibited from turning left to northbound Hing Fat Street; and
(4) Traffic along westbound King's Road will be prohibited from turning right to northbound Hing Fat Street.
(C) Suspension of bus stops
All bus stops along the closed roads are to be suspended from 1pm until resumption of bus service.
(D) Suspension of public light bus (PLB) and taxi stands
All PLB stands and taxi stands along the closed roads will be suspended from 1pm until the crowd is dispersed and the area reverts to normal operation.
(E) Suspension of on-street parking spaces
All metered and non-metered on-street parking spaces along Tung Lo Wan Road and Upper Albert Road will be suspended between 12.30pm and 8pm.
(F) Suspension of car parks
The parking spaces of Victoria Park Public Carpark will be suspended from 11pm to 6pm, except the disabled parking spaces.
Due to road closures, vehicles will not be allowed to enter or exit the following public/private car parks from 1pm until the crowd is dispersed and the area reverts to normal operation:
(1) Park Lane at 310 Gloucester Road (entrance at Great George Street);
(2) In Square at 311 Gloucester Road (entrance at Great George Street); and
(3) Hang Lung Centre at 2 Paterson Street (entrance at Great George Street).
Due to road closures, vehicles will not be allowed to enter or exit the following public/private car parks from 2.30pm until the crowd is dispersed and the area reverts to normal operation:
(1) On Lok Lane;
(2) CNT Tower at 338 Hennessy Road;
(3) Cheuk Nang 21st Century Plaza at 250 Hennessy Road; and
(4) Shanghai Industrial Investment Building at 48 Hennessy Road.
Due to road closures, vehicles will not be allowed to enter or exit the following public/private car parks from 3.30pm until the crowd is dispersed and the area reverts to normal operation:
(1) Cheung Kong Centre at 2 Queen's Road Central;
(2) Bank of China Tower at 1 Garden Road;
(3) Standard Chartered Bank Building at 3 Queen's Road Central;
(4) The alley next to 9 Queen's Road Central;
(5) Galleria at 9 Queen's Road Central;
(6) Landmark at 11 Queen's Road Central;
(7) Imperial Parking at 32-38 Ice House Street;
(8) Hong Kong Electric Co. Zetland Street Zone Substation at 22A Ice House Street;
(9) Baskerville House at 22 Ice House Street;
(10) Hong Kong Diamond Exchange Building at 8-10 Duddell Street;
(11) Ruttonjee House at 3-11 Duddell Street;
(12) Club Lusitano at 16 Ice House Street; and
(13) Car parks along Ice House Street between Lower Albert Street and Des Voeux Road Central.
(G) Suspension of Tram Stops
(1) Tram stops along both bounds of Yee Wo Street near Paterson Street will be suspended from 3pm onwards if necessary.
