Vacancy in Tsuen Wan District Council

The Government today (May 27) declared by notice in the Gazette the existence of a vacancy in the Tsuen Wan District Council (Fuk Loi Constituency).
The office was held by the late Mr Chiu Ka-po, an elected member who passed away on May 21. In accordance with Section 26(a) of the District Councils Ordinance (Cap. 547), the office has become vacant.
The Registration and Electoral Office will arrange for a by-election.
