Trio charged with conspiracy to steal

The Police today (May 18) charged three expatriate men with conspiracy to steal after they were arrested for withdrawing funds from automatic teller machines (ATMs) by using counterfeit payment cards.
The three men, aged between 30 and 47, were arrested in a service apartment unit in Central yesterday (May 17). Suspicious withdrawals from the ATMs of two banks in Central were earlier found with 11 suspected counterfeit payment cards seized from the ATMs.
They were jointly charged with one count of conspiracy to steal and will appear at Eastern Magistrates' Courts tomorrow (May 19).
