Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in North Point this evening (May 8) in which a 60-year-old woman was killed.
About 6.50pm, a bus driven by a 55-year-old man was travelling along King¡¦s Road east bound. When approaching the junction with Finnie Street, the bus reportedly knocked down a 60-year-old female pedestrian. Two female bus passengers aged 59 and 31 sustained minor injuries.
The female pedestrian sustained serious head injuries and was rushed to Eastern Hospital where she was certified dead at 7.48pm. The two female passengers were also sent to Eastern Hospital.
The case will be investigated by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Hong Kong Island.
