SFH continues Toronto visit (with photo)

     The Secretary for Food and Health, Dr York Chow, continued his visit to Toronto on May 4 (Toronto time), calling at two hospitals and meeting with medical professionals and management staff.

     Dr Chow paid a visit to Sick Kids Hospital in the morning.  The hospital is a major paediatric centre for the Greater Toronto Area, serving patients up to the age of 18 years.  It provides the highest level of complex care to paediatric patients in Canada and works in collaboration with health-care organisations in more than 75 other countries for the betterment of child health.

     Dr Chow then called at Mount Sinai Hospital and the Samuel Lunenfeld Research Institute, which is one of Canada's pre-eminent patient care, research and academic health science centres.

     Dr Chow also had a luncheon meeting with medical professionals and management of the two hospitals to exchange views on how to further improve the health care of paediatric patients and the latest developments in medical research.
