Motorcyclist died in Castle Peak traffic accident

     Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Castle Peak this evening (May 3) in which a 29-year-old motorcyclist was killed and a 28-year-old taxi driver was injured.

     About 5.30pm today, a motorcycle driven by a 29-year-old man was travelling along Lung Kwu Tan Road towards Tuen Mun. When approaching the junction of Lung Fai Street and Lung Mun Road, the motorcycle reportedly collided with a taxi driven by a 28-year-old man travelling along the opposite direction.

     After the accident, the motorcyclist who sustained a serious head injury and the taxi driver who sustained neck and waist injuries were rushed to Tuen Mun Hospital where the 29-year-old motorcyclist was later certified dead at 6.10pm.

     Investigations by the Special Investigation Team, Traffic New Territories North, are underway.
