The Government announced today (April 29) the re-appointment of Dr Moses Cheng Mo-chi, as the Chairman of the Education Commission (EC) for a term of two years from May 1, 2011, to April 30, 2013.
Dr Cheng took up the chairmanship of the EC on May 1, 2009.
The Secretary for Education, Mr Michael Suen said, "We are grateful for Dr Cheng's able leadership, strong commitment and valuable contribution to the work of the EC.
"Under Dr Cheng's leadership, the EC continues to provide invaluable advice on education policies and implementation priorities with a view to further enhancing the quality of education in Hong Kong. Dr Cheng's re-appointment as the EC Chairman will help ensure the continuity and effective implementation of various education initiatives to safeguard quality education for the betterment of our students."
