Police seize suspected "Ice" at the Airport (with photos)

     Police arrested five people aged between 26 and 42 and seized about 6.44 kilograms of suspected "Ice" (Methamphetamine) worth about $4.7 million at the Hong Kong International Airport this morning (April 28).

    Acting on information and after in-depth investigation, officers of the Regional Intelligence Unit and Regional Special Duty Squad of Kowloon West intercepted a 29-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman, who had joined a tour to Australia, at the departure hall of the airport at about 7.30am. About 6.44 kilograms of suspected "Ice" were found concealed inside their luggage. The duo were arrested for trafficking in dangerous drugs and conspiracy to trafficking in dangerous drugs. Nearly at the same time, two men and one woman aged from 26 to 42 were also arrested at the airport for conspiracy to trafficking in dangerous drugs.

     All the arrestees are still being detained for further enquiries.

     Investigations by the Regional Special Duty Squad of Kowloon West are underway.
