Police are investigating a traffic accident in which an 86-year-old woman was killed in Kwun Tong this morning (April 21).
At about 8.30am, a rubbish truck driven by a 46-year-old man was reversing at the refuse collection depot at Tsui Tsz House, Tsui Ping South Estate and reportedly knocked down the 86-year-old woman.
The woman sustained serious head injuries and was certified dead at the scene by the ambulanceman.
The driver was arrested for ¡§dangerous driving causing death¡¨. He has been released on bail for further enquiries. He is required to report to the Police in late April.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East are underway.
