Lend a helping hand during Easter (with photo)
**********************************************

The following is issued on behalf of the Hospital Authority:

Giving blood is the most simple and direct way to save lives - and the coming Easter long holiday is a great opportunity to do it.  Every day many people need a blood transfusion for their illness or injury, often urgently.  You can help three or four patients with a single donation.

As a gesture of our appreciation, donors giving blood during the Easter period, between April 20 and May 10, will be presented with a "Finger LED Light Key Chain" (see photo attached).  These gifts are available whilst stocks last.  For the service hours of our donor centres during the public holidays of Easter, the day following Labour Day and Buddha's Birthday, please call 2710 1234 or visit our website at www.ha.org.hk/rcbts for details.

Any person who is healthy, aged 16 to 65 and weighs over 41kgs is eligible to be a blood donor.  Male and female donors aged 18 or above can give blood every three months and four months respectively.  Youths aged between 16 and 17 can donate blood every six months.
