The Secretary for Food and Health, Dr York Chow, this afternoon (April 18) left for Xian to attend the 15th National Conference on Tobacco Control organised by the Chinese Association on Tobacco Control tomorrow.
At the invitation of the Ministry of Health, Dr Chow will speak on Hong Kong's latest developments in tobacco control at the conference. He will also take the opportunity to exchange experiences and views with representatives of other Mainland tobacco control institutions.
Other Hong Kong representatives participating in the conference include the Deputy Director of Health, Dr Gloria Tam, and Head of Tobacco Control Office of the Department of Health, Dr Raymond Ho.
Dr Chow will return to Hong Kong on Wednesday afternoon (April 20).
