Police tonight (April 16) arrested a 63-year-old man for possession of arms and ammunitions without a licence.
The man sustained a gun shot wound on his left thigh at a flat in Fu Wen House of Fu Cheong Estate, Sham Shui Po last night (April 15) and was rushed to Princess Margaret Hospital for medical treatment. He is still admitted in the hospital.
Police seized a number of firearms and ammunitions inside the flat. Initial enquiry revealed that the man is a licensee for possession of arms and ammunitions but the quantity seized at the flat was different from that as stated by the licence.
His 59-year-old wife was also arrested earlier and was released on police bail.
Active investigations by the Regional Crime Unit of Kowloon West are underway.
