The Hong Kong Council for Testing and Certification (HKCTC) has uploaded information on radiation detection and measurement services available in Hong Kong on its website.
A spokesman for HKCTC said that arising from the damage to the Daiichi nuclear power plant in Fukushima, Japan, there has been increasing public interest in radiation detection and measurement services provided by Hong Kong's testing and certification industry. To provide information for the reference of parties interested in such services, the Council has collected information from the testing and certification industry and released the findings on its website.
The spokesman said that apart from the types of services available, the information also contained the contact persons and telephone numbers of testing laboratories providing radiation detection and measurement services.
"We will update the list of service providers on a regular basis so that new service providers can be included progressively," he added.
