Following is the transcript of remarks by the Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, Professor K C Chan, at a media session at the HKUST MBA Finance Conference 2011 today (April 9):
Reporter: How do you feel about Mrs Rita Lau?
Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury: Well, I really enjoyed working with Rita a lot. Over the last couple of years, I find Rita very personable and very dedicated to her work. You can see that she really worked very hard in discharging her duties. She is absolutely a good person to work with and of course her resignation is a loss to the Government. Personally, I regret this has to happen. I certainly understand why she has to resign and take some time to take care of her health. I wish her good luck and I wish her full recovery very soon.
